Two girls struck by stray bullets in the Bronx

TREMONT Police said the girls were hanging out with friends in a park when the bullets started flying.

One girl, 15, was hit by a stray bullet in the leg.

The other girl was hit the shoulder. Her age was not immediately known.

Both girls were taken to St. Barnabas hospital in stable condition.

The shooting happened just after 7:30 Friday night at 180th Street and Vyse Avenue in the Tremont section.

Police were still investigating why the shooter was firing and he is still on the run this morning.
