Both were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. The child is in critical condition, while her mother is listed in stable condition.
The vehicle that struck the two was believed to have stayed at the scene. The 27-year-old driver has not been charged.
Child critical, mother hurt after hit by livery car

The pedestrians, a 42-year-old woman and her 4-year-old son, were hit at West 230th Street and Broadway just after 8:30 a.m. The victims were struck by a black Lincoln livery car as they crossed in the crosswalk.
