NEW YORK --
Commuters saw increased police and National Guard presence at New York City transit hubs as part of a security drill Wednesday. About 100 NYPD officers participated in the three-hour exercise Wednesday morning. It was planned before the recent subway bombings in Moscow that killed dozens.
High-profile locations for the exercise included Penn Station, Herald Square and Grand Central Terminal.
Also participating were police officers from Amtrak, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, New Jersey Transit, the Port Authority, and the Transportation Security Administration.
