Designer found dead in his luxury NYC apartment

LOWER MANHATTAN Police say Alejandro Bulaevsky was found by the building superintendent inside the 16th floor apartment at 90 West Street just before 5:30 p.m.

Bulaevsky's hands were cuffed behind his back. There were no signs of trauma, and the Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

As part of an intense investigation, sources say police are combing through his emails and internet records in hopes of finding if someone had access to his apartment.

At just 26-years-old, Bulaevsky was one of the founders of a design firm that creates lighting for high-end homes and stores.

Sources say Bulaevsky was wearing a latex body suit and mask with his arms handcuffed behind his back.

There were no signs of forced entry.

Investigators are looking into whether he may have been killed during sex.

Bulaevsky was last seen walking into his west street apartment building around 8 p.m. Sunday.

Family members became concerned when he didn't show up for work monday morning.

The building's super found Bulaevsky body.

Tenants say they were quickly alerted by staff.

According to his online profile, Bulaevsky joined lumen architecture in 2008 and studied at Parsons the New School for Design.

His firm worked on intricate installations across the country

It's still not clear how Bulaevsky died.

The medical examiner is performing an autopsy.
