Coast Guard rescues 3 off NJ coast

SEA BRIGHT, NJ No injuries were reported in the incident, which was reported about 10:45 a.m. by a good Samaritan because there was no radio on the boat.

It was not immediately clear what caused the problem with the boat, which was about two miles off the coast of Sea Bright at the time, Petty Officer Daniel Wishnoff said.

A rescue crew from Coast Guard Station Manasquan soon arrived and brought all three boaters aboard. Crew members then pumped the water out of the distressed boat.

Another rescue boat crew, from Coast Guard Station Sandy Hook, then took the three back to their boat and towed it to shore.
