Settlements reached in deaths of 3 Camden boys

CAMDEN, N.J. The agreements also cover claims made against the city's police force, officers who conducted the search and other law enforcement authorities.

Camden officials told the Courier-Post of Cherry Hill that the families of the boys - Daniel Agosto, 6; Anibal Cruz, 11; and Jesstin Pagan, 5 - each agreed to $750,000 settlements. Their suits had claimed the failure of police to follow set procedures in the search for the boys contributed to their deaths.

The boys disappeared from Cruz's backyard in June 2005, setting off a massive search.

About 48 hours later, relatives looking for jumper cables found their bodies in the back of a broken-down car parked in the Cruz family's yard.
