Subway motorman suffers heart attack

New York City Transit officials say a subway motorman suffered an apparent heart attack while pulling out of a station in Queens, but no one was injured. Officials say 50-year-old Domenick Occhiogrosso was exiting the Long Island City-Court Square Station on the G line at about 8 a.m.

Wednesday when he fell unconscious.

Officials say emergency brakes were applied due to a safety feature and the train came to a stop. The conductor went to investigate and found the Brooklyn motorman slumped over.

The motorman was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
