Suffolk County police say 32-year-old Ronad Wisniski was driving a 2005 Nissan pickup truck north when it veered off the road and hit two trees.
Wisniski, of Ridge, was dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
His passenger, 21-year-old George Hengstenberg, was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and released.
