A quick-thinking great grandmother from Queens wasn't about to let a couple of scammers take advantage of her. Seventy-eight-year-old Caroline Tesoriero was suspicious when a woman posing as a utility worker called her, saying two men needed to stop by to check for a carbon monoxide detector.

They claimed to be with Keyspan Gas, but Tesoriero is not a customer.

So she called her own utility company and then the police, who agreed to set up a stakeout the next day.

When the men arrived, they were arrested.
