From a church in the 19th Century to a nightclub many years later, the landmark Limelight opens as an upscale market Friday. The 12,000 square-foot complex in Chelsea has had a $15 million renovation.

It's set to open with 35 boutiques and restaurants at 1 p.m.

Vendors will be set up side by side, and shoppers can pay for their purchases at central checkout counters.
