Long Island mom latest charged under Leandra's Law

A woman from Long Island is the latest arrest made under the newly passed Leandra's Law, which makes it a felony to drive drunk with children in the car. Frances Fannon, of West Islip, was arrested and charged with DWI late Saturday night.

Police say she had two passengers - her 13-year-old daughter and her daughter's 12-year-old friend.

Fannon was charged with a felony count of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a passenger 15 years old or younger. She was also charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated.
