Psychologist testifies in schoolyard murder trial

NEWARK, N.J. Jurors on Monday heard testimony from a psychologist who said Rodolfo Godinez's test scores indicate he's borderline retarded.

Godinez is one of six men and boys charged with the 2007 attacks in Newark.

Testimony is expected to conclude Tuesday, and attorneys are expected to go over jury instructions. The jury is expected to hear closing arguments Wednesday.

Last week, prosecutors played a statement Godinez made to police in which he described being at the schoolyard but not taking part in the murders. A former jailhouse acquaintance testified Godinez told him he regretted ordering the killings.
