Woman charged in fatal Newark stabbing

NEWARK Nadiayh Venable, whose age and hometown were not immediately available, was taken into custody at East Orange Police headquarters, where she had gone to report the theft, said Katherine Carter, a spokeswoman for the Essex County Prosecutor's office.

Carter said Sunday that investigators had been looking for the SUV in connection with the stabbing of 29-year-old Sharon Moens, a mother of three who was found Saturday afternoon inside her apartment building.

Moens had been stabbed multiple times, Carter said, and was pronounced dead a short time after being found in a hallway. But further details were not disclosed.
