Montclair man charged with two rapes at a cemetery

NEWARK, N.J.

Donell Anderson claims to be an ordained minister, a business owner and a private eye, but Essex County Prosecutor Robert Laurino says Anderson is a rapist, who lured 2 women while posing as a police office.

Investigators say Anderson approached his first victim, a 22 year old autistic woman, as she got off a bus in Newark. He allegedly put her in his green Nissan minivan and drove her to a secluded Irvington Cemetery where he raped her.

The latest attack happened last Friday where again, police say, he approached a 38 year old woman on the street.

She was taken to the same cemetery, but managed to break away and call 911. Police arrested Anderson at the scene.

His Mission Street home also serves as his business, Shade System Solutions. Anderson's Facebook page lists him as an ordained minister, and links him with aJersey City church.

Anderson is being held on 1 million dollars bail.

He was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault, kidnapping, impersonating a police officer, and weapons offenses, among other charges.

Anyone with information is urged to call Det. Christine Witkowski at (973) 753-1159 or the tip line at (877) 847-7432.
