The loudest complaints are coming from two synagogues in Coney Island.
They've filed a lawsuit to stop the concerts as part of a bigger push to stop plans for an amphitheatre in a nearby park.
"This is the band shell were going to have MSG," Ida Sanoff.
Sanoff was referring to a proposed $64 million 8,000 seat concert amphitheatre opponents claim would consume the small city park in Coney Island.
The project is spearheaded by Brooklyn Boro President Marty Markowitz.
"I would never suggest Lincoln Center all year round, this would be in the summer months," Markowitz said.
Free summer concerts have been held at the park for years, but members of the community including two synagogues say Markowitz's planned mega project is a whole different deal.
They claim that Markowitz wants a liquor license, a promoter and wants to bring in heavy metal bands.
Legal eagle Norm Siegel says he found a little known city law and filed a lawsuit on behalf of the synagogues and other plaintiffs.
The lawsuit could derail upcoming concerts including the Beach Boys and Neil Sedaka.
