Police officers responding to an early morning call on May 16, 2009, found a 47-year-old Valley Stream man lying on the sidewalk outside an Elmont bar. He had been shot in the side and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Man arrested in California for Long Island killing

Nassau County authorities say the 27-year-old man was brought
back to Long Island on Saturday and faces murder charges. He was
arrested in Los Angeles.
