The parents had adopted 18 children, 7 with Down syndrome, before the couple died.
Two grown children now care for their six adult siblings with Down syndrome, and they'll soon have a new home to meet their needs.
Allure Home Improvements of East Meadow is leading the build with help from more than 1,000 local volunteers.
The home should be finished on Saturday.
