Police say the man attacked a 61-year-old female in East New York at 5 a.m. Wednesday.
The victim was reportedly walking near Livonia and Vermont Avenues when she was forced into a stairwell and sexually assaulted.
The suspect is described as a black male around 40 years old, approximately 6-foot tall and weighing between 200 and 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red and black jacket with a black shirt and light blue jeans.
