Two officers suffered minor injuries.
Police were searching the Bronx home with a warrant at about 9:15 a.m. Thursday when the suspect pulled out a gun in the back of the building. The home is a suspected stash house for drugs.
Police say the suspect fired once, and two officers fired back at least seven times total. The man was hit once in the abdomen and once in the leg.
Several officers were on scene, some in uniform and some wearing NYPD jackets.
A 9mm Hi-Point firearm was recovered at the scene. It's not clear if any drugs were found.
