Graphic Designer, Jane Wagman and clothing designer, Liz Lange are best friends who turned their love of bargain hunting into a shopper's dream. It's a website called Shopafrolic.com.
The website allows them to share their fashion finds with the public. Every day they discuss one fashion item. From clothing to beauty products, they discuss their favorite items with shoppers all over the web.
Most fashionistas love carrying their designer handbags, but with its high price, it might cost you an arm just to wear it.
However, Francine Davis Ballard, former ad director for Lucky Magazine, and a few of her colleagues, has found a way a cheaper and fun way to wear designer handbags. Her website, Designersocial.com allows you to trade handbags.
"Everything we offer on the site is new or nearly new. At any rate, it's new to you," said Ballard.
Everything is at reduced prices. Think of it as a part market place, part consignment shop.
If you outgrow your bag you can post it on the site, and someone can borrow it for a small price.
When you consign an item, Designer Social does all the work. It picks the item up, photographs it, and posts it.
But Ballard and her staff are selective about what they sell. It's like a very edited closet that everyone can benefit from.
