Mulch fire lights up Long Island sky

Flames 50-feet high lit up the night on Long Island. The fire broke out at the town of Brookhaven composting facility on Horseblock road.

The fire broke out at the town of Brookhaven composting facility on Horseblock road.

The fire was still burning early Monday morning.

There are no fire hydrants nearby, and firefighters say it's extremely tough getting close to the flames.

Tanker trucks filled with water have been rushed to the scene.

Help has been requested from surrounding communities, but this fire is expected to burn for several hours.
