The elderly couple lived on a quiet street corner on the lower level of a two family house.
Early Monday morning, cops arrived to find the 82 year old woman unresponsive and unconscious.
There were no signs of forced entry into the house.

The husband was able to walk out of the house on Barclay Avenue, but may be showing signs of forgetfulness.
He recently walked a block from his home and got lost until a neighbor walked him back home.
The thought that foul play could be involved in the woman's death seems impossible to neighbors, who say the husband did all he could to take care of his ailing wife.
The husband is being questioned at the 109th Precinct in Flushing.
Police will only say that they consider the woman's death suspicious.
