NYPD cruiser collides with livery car

An NYPD cruiser and a livery car collided in the Morris Park section of the Bronx this morning.

Three police officers were injured in the crash, at the intersection of Lydig and Haight avenues, just after 7:30 a.m.

The officers sustained neck and back injuries and were rushed to Jacobi Medical Center. The injuries were not considered to be life threatening.

Two other people, likely in the livery car, were also hospitalized with non life threatening injuries.

Police officials were investigating the cause of the crash.
