New Jersey officials are trying to treat Darlington Lake with an aquatic pesticide.

Lifeguards and swimmers complained of a skin rash after getting out the water.

The rash, commonly known as Swimmer's Itch, is caused by a parasite carried by geese and ducks.

It's frequency increases during periods of hot weather.

The lake, which is located at Darlington County Park, will be closed until Sunday morning.
