The accident happened at 820 Hempstead Turnpike shortly after 3:00 p.m.
Police said the suspected drunk driver was in an SUV heading westbound on Hempstead Turnpike. A green car with the family of five was heading eastbound. The SUV went to make a left turn on Claflin and slammed into the car.
The car slammed into a pole and a 4-year old girl was ejected out of the rear window.
She landed in a nearby parking lot.
Officials said her injuries are not life-threatening.
