Investigators say a man followed an 8-year-old girl into her building on the Lower East Side and groped her.
The incident happened last Thursday, but police released a surveillance photo and video Monday night.
The suspect is described as Hispanic or white, approximately 20-30 years old, approximately 5'7" tall, heavy set with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark short sleeve T-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and a dark Yankees Baseball cap. The suspect was also carrying a blue back pack.
Police say he quickly fled the scene after the incident.
