I'm not sure I can remember when I saw leaves start to fall on the first weekend of August, but look around and that's what's happening. The trees, thirsty and parched, starting to shed a wee bit early.
There's also a bumper crop of summer veggies, thanks to the hot weather.
At the same time, there appears to be a stronger onslaught of West Nile virus this summer. Weather-related? And if so, how? We're looking into that for tonight's 11 p.m. Eyewitness News.
We're also following a bizarre story at JFK, where a Jet Blue flight attendant is under arrest after reportedly deploying the emergency chute after the plane landed.
We'll also have any breaking news, plus Scott Clark with the night's sports. I hope you can join Liz Cho and me, tonight at 11.
