The accident happened at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
The driver of the stolen Jeep, who was a teenage girl, is in serious condition with a broken femur.
There were no serious injuries to anyone in the minivan.
Both vehicles ended up on the front lawn of a nearby home, with the Jeep actually catching fire, and partially setting the siding of the home on fire.
Newark Police are investigating where the car was stolen from.
