A group of New York state lawmakers are pushing to get a soon-to-be retired space shuttle for the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum.

Three space shuttles -- Discovery, Endeavor and aAlantis -- are being retired.

NASA will make them available to different institutions throughout the United States.

The Assembly members are calling for a shuttle to be displayed at Manhattan's Pier 86.
