NYPD releases surveillance of armed robbers

QUEENS

Workers say they have had three similar robberies in the last 8 months.

The last two were back to back, just one week apart.

The suspects are so brazen that police believe they'll keep doing this until they're yanked off the streets.

Police are focusing their efforts on surveillance video from three recent robberies.

The first robbery happened on Friday, August 6th at the Crown Fried Chicken joint on Merrick Boulevard.

The men first struck around 12:30 in the morning armed with guns, sending customers scrambling out of the Springfield Gardens fast food restaurant.

They jumped over the counter, snatched cash from the register, and then sprinted out of the store.

But that wasn't enough.

One week later, on the 14th around 8:00 at night, one of the suspect robbed the Crown Fried Chicken again.

No need to be creative. He also jumped over the counter, grabbed cash from the register and took off running.

Two days later they struck again. This time their target was the Dunkin Donuts on Merrick Boulevard around 9:00 at night.

Again with gun in hand, the suspects jumped over the counter, took cash from the register before running away.

Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577 TIPS.

All calls are strictly confidential.
