The incident happened outside the Playwright Tavern on West 49th Street between Broadway and Seventh Avenue around 3:22 a.m. Saturday.
Police say Elliot Paulino was stabbed twice in the torso after an argument with 22-year-old Atdhe Gashi. Sources say the men were fighting over a woman.
Paulino was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Gashi turned himself in to police on Sunday. He is now charged with second-degree murder.
