Lawyer Arthur Aidala and prosecutors on Wednesday briefed state Supreme Court Justice William Kelly for the first time since Kelly took over the case. They declined to comment on their discussions.
The former NFL star did not attend. He is accused of paying $300 to have sex with a 16-year-old Bronx runaway in a Montebello hotel room in May. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of third-degree rape, patronizing a prostitute, sexual abuse and endangering a child.
Kelly was assigned to the case after Rockland County Court Judge William Nelson recused himself.
Kelly set a Sept. 24 court date for further discussions. Taylor must attend. He also set dates for Aidala to file legal papers seeking to suppress prosecution evidence.
