Ro Ramcharan is what you call a Trini-Gul -- a girl from Trinidad, and that's what she named her restaurant. Trini-Gul is a family-run business in Brooklyn where her sister does the cooking.

The food from Trinidad is totally eclectic with influences from India, Africa, China and even Lebanon. Trini-Gul is located on a busy stretch of Bed-Sty, a world away from the islands, but with plenty who crave the taste of meals like the bake and shark.

The restaurant is located at 543 Nostrand Avenue (between Fulton St & Herkimer St). For more information, call (718) 484-4500.
