Good Samaritans sprang into action to help a woman who fell down onto tracks on the Long Island Rail Road Monday night.

The incident happened just after 10 p.m.

The woman was waiting for a Manhattan-bound LIRR train at the Mets-Willets Point stop when she fell.

Eyewitnesses say a quick thinking man jumped down to lift her off the tracks and moved her under the platform to avoid the oncoming train.

Waiting passengers ran for help and got the LIRR officials to stop the train.

No one was seriously injured.
