Authorities say 39-year-old Jorge Martinez was shot in the head on Avenue X in the Gravesend section Friday night.
Ballistics evidence indicates that 22 shots were fired by three different 9-millimeter guns, according to police.
They recovered 22 shell casings from a rooftop of a nearby building and from scaffolding.
Martinez was the father of a 16-year-old daughter and a 14-year-old son.
