The Second Avenue subway project has been delayed an extra six months due to plumbing issues.

The project is being delayed for half a year because crews must move underground utilities within privately owned buildings.

That includes water pipes, gas lines, fuel tanks and electrical wires.

All of this is on the nearly two-mile stretch between 96th Street and an existing station at Lexington Avenue and 63rd Street.
