Vitamin B and your brain

New research suggests large doses of B vitamins can slow the rate of brain shrinkage in elderly people with memory problems.

Scientists at Oxford University also found that the vitamins can slow a person's progression toward dementia and Alzheimer's.

The people given doses of vitamin B-6 and vitamin B-12 saw the lowest levels of brain shrinkage, or atrophy.

This was the largest study ever conducted of its kind.
