The incident happened at Marshall and Grand streets.
The victims, identified as a grandmother, her 3-year-old granddaughter and her 5-year-old grandson, were all rushed to St. Joesph's Hospital in unknown condition.
The boy was reportedly unresponsive at first, but police say he regained consciousness and will be OK. He was reportedly in shock, but did not sustain any life-threatening injuries or broken bones. The girl was under the van, but suffered only bruises and abrasions. The grandmother was the most seriously injured and was rushed into surgery. Eyewitness News is told the woman's ankle was severed and she will likely need to have her leg amputated from the shin down.
Witnesses say the van had the green light and the driver may not have seen them crossing. Sun glare was being looked at a possible cause. Criminality is not suspected at this time. Police are still interviewing the driver.
