Chelsea Isaacs is studying to be a journalist.
"I wouldn't have ever been able to predict this," Isaacs said.
Late last week, Chelsea Isaacs learned quite a lesson.
It wasn't taught to her by her professors at Long Island University, but by one of the world's richest men, Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs.
She tried to go the extra mile on a school assignment about iPads as a teaching tool.
"I wanted to impress my teacher by showing her I get quotes from off campus, I go for other sources, I go above and beyond," Isaacs said.
She called six times, but there was no answer from Apple's PR department.
So, she managed to find an email address for Steve Jobs himself, and fired off a message.
Lo and behold, Jobs wrote back, but was less than friendly.
Our goals, he said, do not include helping you get a good grade.
And thus began a war of words with the corporate titan, worth $5.5 billion.
Chelsea responded: "If you get a message from a client or a customer isn't it your job to return the call? That's what I always thought, but I guess it's not one of your goals."
He wrote back, "Nope, we have over 300 million users and we can't respond to every single request, unless they have a problem of some kind."
And then the kicker...
Jobs wrote, "Please leave us alone."
It's not exactly the mark of civility from the father of the iPad.
Apple Tuesday, declined to comment on whether it was in fact Jobs, or an underling simply returning his email.
The company would also not explain why the messages were so rude.
Eyewitness News asked Chelsea, "Do you think it was because you were typing on a Blackberry?"
"Absolutely," Isaacs said.
