Station work suspends weekend No. 1 train service

NEW YORK

The MTA plans to shut down the line for the second weekend in a row.

The agency says the move is to speed up construction on a $47 million overhaul to the Dyckman Street station.

The MTA says it'll also help crews working to finish a section passing through the World Trade Center site.

Shuttle buses are expected to fill some of the service gaps.
