Storm, flooding affecting train service

The storm is having an impact on mass transit, with problems on both the subways and the rail lines.

Train service has resumed with delays on the No. 1, 2 and 3 lines after it was temporarily suspended between the Times Square-42nd Street Station and the 96th Street Station in both directions due to flooding at the 79th Street station.

Metro North's Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines are experiencing 5-10 minutes delays due to earlier weather-related problems.

M66, M72, M79 and M86 buses are delayed and detoured in both directions due to flooding on Central Park transverses.

NJ Transit Newark Light Rail service subject to 10-15 minute delays due to weather conditions.

NJ Transit Bus service is subject to detours and up to 20-minute delays systemwide due to flooding.

Newark Light Rail service between Newark Penn and Grove Street stations is subject to 10-15 minute delays due to disabled train near Bloomfield Avenue Station.

LIRR is currently operating with 10-15 minute delays in the both directions on the Port Washington branch due to weather-related power problems affecting signals.
