It's a holiday weekend, and authorities are reminding drivers to not drink and drive.

In anticipation of the Columbus Day holiday weekend, the Port Authority Police is setting up a DWI checkpoint at the Holland Tunnel.

The checkpoint will operate between 10 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday, October 9, at the entrances to the Holland Tunnel.

Drivers will be subject to random inspection.

Police also will distribute literature on the dangers of drinking and driving.
