Authorities say two men who were changing a flat tire on the side of Interstate 95 in Darien were fatally hit by a car, whose driver fled the scene but was caught later.

State police say 19-year-old Felipe Chagas of Bethel and 22-year-old Lucas Silva of Stamford were killed early Saturday.

Shortly after the accident, Darien police spotted the vehicle that hit them near exit 10 on Interstate 95 southbound. The driver, a 39-year-old Stamford woman, was arrested on charges of two counts of vehicular manslaughter, DWI, failure to maintain lane and evading responsibility. She was being held on $250,000 bond.
