Four attempted child abductions on Long Island

LONG ISLAND

The four attempted abductions happened in the last two weeks.

Stan, a father of two young girls, asked Eyewitness News not to use his full name to protect his daughters identity.

But, it has been a nerve wracking week after a stranger in a red pick up truck pulled into his driveway and aggressively approached his daughter.

Police were notified, and Stan found out it wasn't the first claim of an attempted abduction in the area.

Police have confirmed a total of four incidents.

The first was a 10-year-old boy on October 8th on Quail Run in East Islip.

The second was a 9-year-old girl on Riviera Drive in Great River.

The other two happened on October 17th in Islip and Bayshore.
