More women screening for skin cancer

A new study shows that women are doing better than men when it comes to screening for skin cancer.

The study in the "Archives of Dermatology" found that 60% of people asking doctors to check them for skin cancer were women.

Personal and medical histories, as well as worries about sun exposure, motivated the women to be pro-active.

Men, on the other hand, were more likely to ask for screening only if they'd been diagnosed with skin cancer in the past.
