Second-alarm Bronx fire displaces residents

BRONX

The fire broke out in the second and third floors of the Courtlandt Avenue building just before 2:15 a.m. About a dozen residents of apartments on those floors were forced out by the flames.

None of the residents were hurt. However, several firefighters were being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The apartment building has a Chinese restaurant on the first floor and apartments on the upper floors.
