Thursday is sentencing day for a man convicted of causing a deadly car crash during a police chase on Long Island.

Prosecutors said John Licausi, Jr., was on cocaine and ran a red light when he smashed into another car in Medford in 2008, killing a father of three.

Prosecutors want Licausi labeled a persistent felony offender, which would require a minimum sentence of 15 years to life in prison.
