Flying Karamazov Brothers performing in West Village

WEST VILLAGE

It's an act that has been around for a while and has gained quite a following.

Watching the Flying Karamazov brothers perform is a lot like walking a gauntlet of flying pins.

It's invigorating, kind of zany .and definitely fun.

The latest show is taking place at the Minetta Lane Theater.

The act moves from the brothers juggling the pins to all kinds of craziness. They have acts where there are frying pans in the air, along with a ukulele and of course, a fish

The brothers' brand of off-beat entertainment has proven so memorable it even inspired membership.

"I saw the Flying Karamazov Brothers when I was 13 and I thought "wow! That's what i want to do for the rest of my life!!" and i practiced like an obsessed maniac for 8 years and they gave me a job," said Zosima Karamazov.

The Flying Karamazov Brothers are on stage at the Minetta Lane Theater, in the West Village. Shows run Wednesday through Sunday. There are 8pm shows Wednesday through Saturday and 2pm matinees on Saturday and Sunday.
