The Brooklyn DA is forming an anti-gay task force, aimed at reducing violence against homosexuals.

This comes after a wave of high-profile anti-gay incidents in the city and around the country.

There is now a 24-hour hate crime hotline.

Victims can call to report an incident or receive support.

Dozens of social workers are available to help victims.

The hate crime hotline number is (718) 250-2759.
