The fire broke out on the third floor of the Bayview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Long Beach Road just after 3 a.m.
One resident was rushed to Nassau University Medical Center for treatment of burns.
Two staff members were also evaluated on scene.
Meanwhile, residents were moved from the third floor to the first floor as firefighters quickly put out the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
